Technical Manager – Healthcare Programs

About the role

Reporting to the Chief Business Officer, the Technical Manager will manage and optimise patient support programmes. The role involves representing Axios in daily meetings with stakeholders, patients and healthcare professionals, and performing both field‑based and office‑based administrative duties.

Key responsibilities

• Manage patient support programmes by liaising with clients, hospitals, insurers, NGOs, physicians, nurses and patients.
• Ensure timely enrolment of eligible patients in line with project workflows and timelines.
• Prepare monthly monitoring reports and quarterly quality‑assurance reports, tracking patient files in real time.
• Maintain and update electronic programme files, including patient and quality‑assurance data.
• Develop and manage relationships with government bodies and key national and international stakeholders.
• Represent Axios at meetings, conferences and identify new project opportunities.
• Develop and manage programme budgets and oversee day‑to‑day office activities, including line‑management of junior staff.

Required profile

• Degree in a science or health‑related discipline.
• 4‑5 years of experience as a Technical or Program Manager in the healthcare sector.
• Strong command of spoken and written English.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work flexible hours.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills, including database design and management.
• Proficiency with Axios’ Patient Management System (PMS) and related IT tools.
