Team Leader – Electrical & Instrumentation Competence

About the role

The Team Leader – Electrical & Instrumentation Competence will head the electrical and instrumentation engineering team within the INE GECIA R&D department of Atlas Copco's Airtec Division. This position drives technical excellence and innovation for compressor technology projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the electrical and instrumentation engineering team, ensuring delivery of high‑quality solutions aligned with project goals.
• Develop and maintain competence in electrical and instrumentation systems, promoting continuous learning.
• Collaborate with research, development, and manufacturing teams to integrate components into compressor products.
• Oversee project planning, execution, and monitoring to meet technical specifications and quality standards.
• Identify emerging technologies and provide strategic insights for their application.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies throughout project phases.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for stakeholders.
• Support recruitment, performance reviews, and professional development activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven leadership experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering, preferably in an R&D environment.
• Strong understanding of compressor technology and related systems.
• Excellent project management abilities and experience coordinating multiple projects.
• Demonstrated ability to foster a collaborative, innovative team culture.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
