Team Lead – Transportation (Pune)

About the role

Amazon is looking for a Team Lead to manage its Transportation team in Pune. You will lead Transportation Associates, work with carriers, site operations and the NOC to ensure on‑time arrival of linehaul vans, and drive performance improvements across the network.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage vendor relationships and monitor carrier performance.
• Monitor daily network performance, investigate exceptions and implement corrective actions.
• Manage transport operations for the assigned city/territory with support from Associates and the Relay Operations Center.
• Build and maintain processes that sustain high performance and reduce breakdowns and delays.
• Lead process‑improvement initiatives and collaborate with site leadership on quality and customer‑experience metrics.
• Streamline logistics through standard work, team leadership and POD validation/uploads.
• Oversee carrier onboarding, performance monitoring, capacity planning, and vehicle rightsizing.
• Coordinate with safety, site management and compliance programs (R4D, R4C, GPS, BGV) to reduce losses, damages and ensure regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in a customer‑facing, warehousing, logistics or manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
