Team Lead - Software Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Team Lead to head a squad of 6‑10 full‑stack engineers within TransPerfect’s TechOps division in Pune. The role combines hands‑on software development with leadership, guiding technical direction, delivery, and team growth.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain production‑grade full‑stack applications supporting the GlobalLink platform and internal tools.
• Lead architectural decisions, translating business requirements into clear technical solutions.
• Conduct thorough code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor engineers.
• Own and improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and release quality to boost engineering velocity.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues and production incidents.
• Manage a team of 6‑10 engineers, including 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development plans.
• Drive continuous evaluation and modernization of the technology stack, tooling, and processes.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, effort estimation, and delivery commitments.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior software engineer and technical leader of full‑stack teams.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to make sound architectural decisions.
• Excellent communication and mentorship abilities.
• Track record of delivering high‑quality software in a fast‑paced environment.
