Team Lead – Operations (Transportation)

About the role

Amazon is looking for a motivated Team Lead to drive the sortation and line‑haul infrastructure for its transportation network. You will lead a team of station supervisors, ensure smooth operations from fulfillment centers to delivery stations, and continuously improve delivery performance.

Key responsibilities

• Define and manage the transportation process from fulfillment centers to delivery stations.
• Ensure sufficient sortation bandwidth to meet peak‑time delivery demands.
• Conduct performance appraisals, mentor station supervisors, and foster efficient operations.
• Analyze data reports to identify bottlenecks and implement throughput improvements.
• Apply formal process‑control and improvement methodologies such as Kaizen.

Required profile

• Graduation (any field) with experience in logistics or courier industry.
• People‑management experience, preferably with field teams and live operations.
• Strong leadership, execution, and resourcefulness in ambiguous situations.
• Experience with process‑improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Kaizen) is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma methodology.
• Knowledge of Kaizen methodology.
