Team Lead

About the role

The Team Lead will oversee the General Ledger and Record‑to‑Report (R2R) processes, ensuring accurate month‑end closing and robust management accounting. Reporting to senior finance management, the role combines technical accounting expertise with leadership of a small accounting team, primarily within the hotel industry context.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the daily activities of the GL accounting team, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Lead the R2R process, including journal entry preparation, reconciliations, and month‑end close.
• Prepare and analyze management accounting reports to support business decisions.
• Coordinate with senior managers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve accounting issues.
• Drive continuous improvement of accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior accountants.

Required profile

• Accounting qualification or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in GL accounting, R2R, and management accounting.
• At least 2 years of experience leading or managing a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with senior managers.
• Knowledge of month‑end closing and financial principles applied to the hotel industry.
