Tax Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Tax Specialist to lead GST and TDS compliance for our organization. The role involves end‑to‑end filing, reconciliation, and support for audits, ensuring that all tax processes are accurate and audit‑ready as the business grows.

Key responsibilities

• Own full GST compliance, including preparation and filing of GSTR‑1 and GSTR‑3B, and perform detailed GSTR‑2B reconciliations.
• Manage TDS deductions, filings, and reconciliation with Form 26AS, maintaining timely and accurate records.
• Conduct periodic reconciliations for GST, TDS and related transactions, ensuring correct tax treatment.
• Handle GST notices, departmental queries and coordinate with external consultants when required.
• Support internal and statutory audits by providing accurate data, reconciliations and explanations.
• Collaborate with finance, operations and vendor teams to identify gaps in invoicing or accounting and implement process improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in Indian taxation, focusing on GST and TDS.
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS and current Indian tax regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance or a related field; CA Inter or relevant taxation experience preferred.
• High attention to detail, problem‑solving ability and an ownership mindset.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with accounting/ERP systems such as SAP B1.
