Tax Specialist – Direct & Indirect (India)

About the role

VOIS, the strategic arm of Vodafone Group, is looking for a detail‑oriented tax professional to manage both direct and indirect tax compliance for its India operations. Based in Pune, you will ensure timely filings, support audits and keep the business aligned with evolving tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage GST compliance, including return filing, audits, refunds and reverse‑charge liabilities.
• Prepare and file Input Service Distributor (ISD) returns.
• Handle SEZ compliance processes such as APR, MPR, Softex and DSPF filings.
• File TDS returns and oversee monthly withholding tax payments.
• Support tax, statutory and internal audits.
• Monitor regulatory updates and assess impact on Vodafone entities.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet all tax obligations within deadlines.

Required profile

• Approximately 10 years of experience in direct and indirect taxation.
• Strong knowledge of Indian GST laws, rules and procedures.
• Analytical, solution‑oriented mindset with proactive problem‑solving.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Comfortable handling compliance processes, audits and regulatory requirements.
