Tax Manager – Withholding Tax

About the role

Amazon is looking for an experienced Tax Manager to lead its Withholding Tax function in India. You will own the end‑to‑end process for determining, complying with, and reporting withholding tax, while partnering with global tax, business, and stakeholder teams on strategic projects.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on withholding tax implications for new projects and business lines.
• Manage the full withholding tax compliance cycle, including payments and filings.
• Oversee systems that regularly review financial activity for tax assessment.
• Handle statutory, tax and revenue audit requests related to withholding tax.
• Coordinate vendor support requests and perform reconciliations.
• Lead automation and technology initiatives to improve withholding tax processes.
• Assist tax controversy efforts by gathering and organizing supporting documentation.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
• Background in a large public accounting firm or multinational corporate tax department.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time‑management abilities.

Required skills

• CPA certification.
