Tax Consultant – Remote (1‑year Contract)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Tax Consultant to join our finance team on a remote, one‑year contract. The role focuses on ensuring full compliance with Indian tax regulations, handling GST, TDS, and transfer pricing matters, and supporting audit activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly GST liabilities and file GST returns.
• Manage and conclude GST and tax audits, providing support for statutory audits.
• Calculate and remit monthly TDS liabilities and file TDS returns.
• Handle Equilisation levy filing and calculations.
• Reconcile GST balances (GST2B vs. ITC claimed) and perform general ledger reconciliation for tax‑related accounts.
• Prepare tax provision schedules, returns, payments, and reports for audits.
• Develop transfer pricing reports and assist in completing TP study reports.
• Identify solutions for complex tax issues and errors in filings.
• Coordinate with consultants and tax officials, manage litigation trackers, and keep senior management informed.

Required profile

• CA qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in taxation, preferably in GST, TDS, and transfer pricing.
• Strong knowledge of Indian tax laws and audit processes.
