Tax Consultant – Corporate Income Tax (CIT) – Bangalore

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant to join our Corporate Income Tax (CIT) team in Bangalore. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience across tax compliance, advisory, and dispute resolution for a leading Big 4 professional services firm.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file corporate tax returns and ensure compliance with tax mandates.
• Conduct direct tax research, analysis of case laws and tax circulars.
• Draft tax advisory memos, presentations, and client communications.
• Assist in scrutiny assessments, tax proceedings, and preparation of appeals.
• Handle tax provisioning, audit finalisation, and coordination with tax authorities.
• Support client management and liaison with tax authorities.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) – freshers welcome.
• Strong understanding of Direct Tax/Corporate Tax and the Income Tax Act.
• Excellent analytical, research, communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to handle client interactions and coordinate with tax authorities.
• Prior exposure to Direct Tax/Corporate Tax through articleship is advantageous.
• Knowledge of Corporate Law, FEMA or SEBI is a plus.
