Tax Consultant – Advisory (Mumbai)

About the role

EY is seeking a Tax Consultant to join its Advisory team in Mumbai. The role involves delivering tax compliance and advisory services to corporate clients, supporting both inbound and outbound employee movements and related immigration and provident fund matters.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file individual tax returns and e‑TDS returns, and draft submissions to tax authorities.
• Represent clients before tax authorities and advise on structuring of employee movements, including immigration and provident fund considerations.
• Execute engagements professionally, adhering to client expectations and contract terms.
• Collaborate with team members to improve performance, share knowledge and ensure high‑quality deliverables.
• Utilise electronic working papers and relevant software to conduct research, analyse data and produce accurate tax advisory or compliance outputs.
• Maintain confidentiality of client information and uphold EY’s professional standards.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification with 0‑1 year of relevant experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Analytical mindset with good numerical ability.
• Enthusiastic self‑starter and effective team player.
• Good time‑management and attention to detail.
