Tax Associate – Direct & Indirect Taxation

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Tax Associate to join our tax and compliance team in Jabalpur. The role involves handling both direct and indirect tax matters for corporate clients, ensuring timely filings and adherence to statutory regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR‑1, GSTR‑3B, GSTR‑9, GSTR‑9C) and perform GST reconciliation, including input tax credit management.
• Handle GST notices, audits and support refund applications.
• Assist in computation and filing of Income Tax Returns for individuals and entities, and manage TDS compliance.
• Respond to income‑tax notices under sections such as 143(1) and 139(9) and prepare tax audit reports.
• Ensure timely filing of ROC forms, annual returns and maintain statutory registers under the Companies Act, 2013.
• Support corporate governance documentation and legal filings.
• Prepare reports and documentation for internal and external audits, staying updated on tax law changes.
• Coordinate with clients, regulatory authorities and internal teams.

Required profile

• Degree in CA, CS, LLB, M.Com, B.Com or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in GST, Income Tax, MCA compliance and corporate law.
• Strong knowledge of statutory regulations and reporting requirements.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
