Tax Accountant – India Tax Centre (Remote or Multiple Cities)

About the role

Join a fast‑growing professional‑services firm building its India tax centre. As a Tax Accountant you will handle both direct and indirect tax compliance, filing, and advisory work for a global practice, with the flexibility to work from any major Indian city or remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file GST, TDS, and income‑tax returns within statutory deadlines.
• Compute tax liabilities, provisions, and advance tax payments.
• Maintain tax registers, records and perform detailed reconciliations.
• Support tax assessments, respond to notices and assist in audit processes.
• Monitor regulatory changes and evaluate their impact on the organisation.
• Collaborate with the accounting team on tax provisioning and reporting.

Required profile

• 2‑6 years of experience in tax accounting or compliance roles.
• Strong knowledge of Indian direct and indirect tax regulations.
• Qualified CA or CA Inter with a tax focus; exposure to international tax or transfer pricing is a plus.
• Experience in a professional‑services or consulting environment is desirable.
• Excellent written and spoken English and a reliable remote‑work setup.
