Systems Engineer – FMS In‑Service Support

About the role

As a Systems Engineer supporting Flight Management System (FMS) in‑service activities, you will provide expert technical support for operational flights and act as a bridge between customers and engineering teams across multiple aircraft programs.

Key responsibilities

• Support system development, specification, verification & validation (V&V) and in‑service support for Flight Management Systems.
• Analyze system design and respond to technical queries from airlines, design offices, and simulator manufacturers, including urgent AOG situations.
• Assess in‑service issues for airworthiness, reliability and cost impact, drive root‑cause analysis and follow up corrective actions.
• Participate in technical meetings with customers, system designers, suppliers and other stakeholders.
• Provide engineering support to Customer Services, transferring in‑service experience to maintenance and design teams.
• Collaborate with system designers and lab testing teams during V&V campaigns across aircraft programs.

Required profile

• B.Tech./B.E./M.Tech./M.E. in an engineering discipline.
• 3–7 years of experience in the aerospace industry, preferably in avionics system development or support.
• Strong decision‑making ability and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexibility, adaptability and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Required skills

• Avionics systems knowledge.
• System engineering and verification & validation (V&V) expertise.
• Meteorological analysis (atmosphere, ISA, etc.).
• Familiarity with aerospace processes, standards and system‑engineering norms.
