Systems Application Lead Technician

About the role

The Systems Application Lead Technician provides advanced, technician‑level support for engineering systems, product data governance, and related processes. Working in a hybrid model, the role combines on‑site collaboration with remote problem‑solving to ensure consistency and efficiency across system‑related activities.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the lead technician for complex engineering system support and data issues.
• Coordinate and prioritize technician workflow, escalations, and day‑to‑day operational support.
• Review and audit engineering change activity, BOM accuracy, metadata standards, and system compliance.
• Lead data cleanup, standardization, and migration support for engineering systems.
• Support implementation of process improvements and system enhancements in partnership with engineers and IT.
• Train users and technicians on system procedures, best practices, and documentation.
• Monitor recurring issues and recommend workflow and data‑management improvements.
• Provide cross‑functional support for business teams using PLM and related applications.

Required profile

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in engineering technology, information systems, manufacturing technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years (Bachelor’s) or 5 years (Associate’s) of relevant experience.
• Advanced experience supporting PLM/PDM systems, engineering data governance, or document control in a regulated or manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to coordinate work, train others, and act as a lead resource for system and process support.
• Experience with engineering change processes, data cleanup, migration support, and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required skills

• Teamcenter and Windchill (PLM/PDM platforms).
• CAD tools: NX, Creo, SolidWorks.
• Microsoft 365 applications – Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Notepad++ or similar text‑editing utilities.
