Systems Administrator – Graduate (Entry‑Level)

About the role

CSG is looking for a motivated graduate to join its SQL Server Database Administration team. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience with Microsoft SQL Server environments, supporting both non‑production and production databases under senior guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily operational activities of the SQL Server DBA team.
• Monitor SQL Server instances, perform health checks and respond to alerts.
• Troubleshoot common SQL Server issues and assist with incident handling via ticketing tools.
• Assist with backup and restore activities, routine maintenance, and patching/upgrade tasks.
• Process user access requests and maintain basic documentation and runbooks.
• Ensure incidents and service requests are resolved within defined SLA timelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 0–1 year of experience in IT support, database support, or related roles; freshers with basic SQL knowledge are encouraged.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL and relational database concepts.
• Familiarity with Windows Server fundamentals and basic RDBMS concepts such as tables, indexes, constraints, and joins.
