Systems Administration Senior Associate – Microsoft Windows OS

About the role

NTT DATA is looking for a Systems Administration Senior Associate focused on Microsoft Windows OS to join its Bangalore team. The role involves advanced first‑level troubleshooting and support for Windows servers, Active Directory and core infrastructure services.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot OS‑level issues including service dependency failures, performance degradation and analyze logs via Event Viewer.
• Manage users and groups in Active Directory and control access using NTFS and share permissions.
• Diagnose DNS and DHCP problems at L1 depth.
• Support patching cycles with pre‑checks, post‑validation and failure reporting.
• Coordinate with backup teams for file/folder restore requests.
• Resolve RDP connectivity issues, login failures and profile corruption.
• Execute basic PowerShell commands for routine, non‑destructive checks.
• Mentor junior G4 resources on ticket handling and troubleshooting quality.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in Windows administration or NOC environments.
• Solid understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy basics, Windows services and networking fundamentals.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper‑V.
