System Engineering Project Manager – Metro Rolling Stock

About the role

Siemens Mobility is seeking a System Engineering Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex metro rolling‑stock projects. You will coordinate cross‑functional teams, manage technical scope, budgets and schedules, and act as the primary link between the rolling‑stock business unit and the Engineering Center in India.

Key responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives and technical requirements with stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive project plan, including schedules, resource allocation and milestones.
• Assemble, lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of system engineers, software developers and technical specialists.
• Monitor and control project budget, implement cost‑control measures and report KPI’s.
• Identify, analyse and mitigate technical, operational and organisational risks.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration among all project stakeholders, providing regular progress updates and technical reports.
• Represent the project in global and local management meetings and present project health metrics.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams on large‑scale projects.
• Strong project‑management skills, including scope, schedule and budget control.
• Ability to engage with senior stakeholders, customers and cross‑functional teams.
• Experience in risk identification and mitigation for complex engineering programmes.
