System Engineer

About the role

Deccan AI is building the core infrastructure that powers enterprise AI models. The System Engineer will join the Systems Administration team to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our enterprise‑wide systems platform. This is a future‑ready pipeline role, meaning the position will be opened as the company scales.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Linux and Windows servers supporting AI data pipelines.
• Monitor system health, uptime, and security alerts, and respond to incidents promptly.
• Configure and manage network components, firewalls, and VPNs to ensure secure connectivity.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for routine tasks and system provisioning.
• Implement and enforce best practices for system monitoring, logging, and performance tuning.

Required profile

• Strong background in operating system administration for both Linux and Windows environments.
• Hands‑on experience with networking concepts and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in scripting languages to automate operational workflows.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams.
