System Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a proactive System Engineer with 2–4 years of experience to support and maintain our hybrid IT infrastructure in Kochi. The role involves managing Windows and Linux servers, web and email services, databases, and cloud environments while ensuring high availability, security, and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Linux (Ubuntu, RHEL, CentOS) across cloud and hosting providers.
• Configure and manage IIS, Nginx, and Caddy web servers; install, renew, and troubleshoot SSL/TLS certificates.
• Maintain DNS records (A, CNAME, MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC) and monitor server health, performance, and security.
• Support enterprise email delivery infrastructure (PowerMTA, Rspamd), including IP reputation, reverse DNS, and deliverability monitoring.
• Perform routine administration of Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL/MariaDB, and PostgreSQL; handle backups, performance tuning, and issue resolution.
• Deploy and support web applications built with .NET MVC.NET Core, PHP, Node.js, and React.
• Execute scheduled backups, verify integrity, and participate in disaster recovery testing.
• Provide Level 2 technical support, manage tickets in Jira Service Management, and maintain technical documentation and SOPs.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of hands‑on experience with Windows and Linux server administration.
• Familiarity with web server technologies, email delivery systems, and database platforms.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Development, Client Support, and Operations teams.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a focus on security and reliability.
