System Engineer – IT Infrastructure & Virtualization

About the role

We are looking for a System Engineer to join Ashtech’s core infrastructure team in Ahmedabad. You will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining high‑performance servers, storage and virtualization platforms that support our enterprise applications.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, configure and maintain servers, storage, networking, virtualization and backup systems, including rack mounting and hardware troubleshooting.
• Install and manage Windows Server, Linux and VMware ESXi environments; perform firmware/BIOS upgrades and manage VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper‑V with HA.
• Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File Server, DFS/DFSR and Group Policy; configure RAID arrays, storage pools and host mappings.
• Deploy and manage Failover Clusters for Hyper‑V and SQL; implement enterprise backup solutions such as Commvault, Veritas Backup Exec, NetBackup, Veeam Backup & Replication and Veeam M365 Backup.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of hands‑on experience in IT infrastructure, system administration or virtualization.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to meet operational SLAs.
• Analytical mindset with the capacity to manage multiple environments.
