System Administrator – SysOps & Automation

About the role

Monks is looking for a System Administrator to join its SysOps IT team. You will maintain, configure, and operate computer systems and cloud platforms while driving improvements in security, organization, and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Administer the Atlassian organization, focusing on Jira Software, Confluence, and Tempo.
• Conduct regular environment audits to clean up stale projects, unused fields, and redundant schemes.
• Manage Tempo configurations, work‑log attributes, period locking, and team structures.
• Optimize Atlassian license usage and lead renewal processes.
• Monitor Atlassian release cycles, assess impact on integrated apps, and communicate updates.
• Serve as primary escalation point for regional SaaS tools such as Slack, Google Workspace, Jamf, and Intune.
• Resolve Tier 2/3 technical issues that exceed standard IT support.
• Support ISO 27001 audit readiness by maintaining access controls and change‑management records.
