System Administrator – Server & Virtualization (Chennai)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced System Administrator to join our Chennai office. The role focuses on managing Windows and virtualized server environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across the infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server platforms and Active Directory, including troubleshooting and user management.
• Provision, configure, and maintain VMware vSphere and ESXi hosts, handling snapshots, cloning, and resource allocation.
• Manage Microsoft Hyper‑V, SAN/NAS storage, and virtualization networking.
• Monitor and optimise virtualised environments using VMware vRealize Operations, SolarWinds, and Nagios.
• Develop and maintain basic automation scripts in PowerShell and Python.
• Participate in rotational shift schedules, including night shifts, to support 24/7 operations.

Required profile

• 6–9 years of hands‑on experience in system administration and L2 server virtualization support.
• Minimum two years of continuous employment with the same organisation.
• Notice period not exceeding 30 days.
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to work rotational/night shifts.
• Availability for face‑to‑face interviews.
