System Administrator

About the role

Knack Studios is seeking an IT System Administrator to ensure the stability, security, and optimal performance of its IT infrastructure. You will work closely with the IT team to support day‑to‑day operations and implement best‑practice solutions in a fast‑moving post‑production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide end‑user support for all operating systems and applications, both in‑person and remotely.
• Provision new employees with hardware, system access, and required software.
• Create, modify, and run access queries and reports, and assist with month‑end reporting.
• Configure and maintain networked computer systems, including hardware, system software, and applications.
• Set up user accounts, workstations, and troubleshoot outages.
• Implement security measures such as access controls, backups, and firewalls.
• Upgrade systems with new releases and replace outdated components.
• Monitor system performance, diagnose hardware/software/network issues, and ensure data is securely stored.
• Research and recommend new technologies to improve the infrastructure.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 2‑4 years of proven experience as an IT System Administrator.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server environments.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper‑V.
• Familiarity with networking protocols, security principles, and best practices.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation for system administration tasks.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve complex technical issues.
