System Administrator

About the role

OrbitAID Aerospace is seeking a System Administrator to design, implement and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure. The role supports engineering, business development, policy and public‑relations teams, ensuring secure and reliable operations in a fast‑growing space‑tech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, license and manage engineering software and enterprise tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, CRM and project‑management platforms.
• Build and maintain servers, virtualization platforms and cloud environments (AWS, Azure or GCP), as well as LAN/WAN, VLANs, firewalls and VPNs.
• Handle system patching, OS hardening, backups, disaster‑recovery planning and proactive monitoring to guarantee high availability.
• Implement endpoint protection, vulnerability management and identity‑access management (Active Directory, Entra ID, Okta) with least‑privilege segregation for commercial, defense and policy workloads.
• Manage onboarding/off‑boarding processes, endpoint provisioning, access audits and produce runbooks/SOPs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of system/network administration experience with strong Windows Server and Linux skills.
• Hands‑on experience with virtualization and at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Solid networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls) and IAM solutions.
• Proficiency in scripting/automation using Bash, PowerShell or Python.
