Sweeper – School Cleaning Specialist

About the role

The Sweeper will maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within a school setting. This role involves daily cleaning of classrooms, corridors, restrooms, and other facilities, ensuring hygiene standards are consistently met for students and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish all floor surfaces.
• Dust and wipe down furniture, windowsills, fixtures, and high‑touch areas.
• Empty and sanitize waste bins, replace liners, and manage cleaning supplies.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, replenish toiletries, and keep them odor‑free.
• Sanitize door handles, light switches, handrails, and other high‑traffic surfaces.
• Perform scheduled deep‑cleaning tasks such as carpet cleaning, window washing, floor stripping, and waxing.
• Handle spills and accidents promptly and safely.
• Report maintenance issues and ensure proper use of cleaning equipment.
