Surface Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Surface Design Engineer to join our team at TIDEL Park, Coimbatore. The role involves developing and modifying surface‑related product designs for the oil & gas and subsea sectors, applying industry standards and engineering best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design new surface products and modify existing designs using CAD and related tools.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, including GD&T specifications, P&IDs and hydraulic calculations.
• Support senior engineers with computational methods and ensure timely, high‑quality deliverables.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, providing informal guidance to junior members.
• Ensure compliance with API, ASME/ANSI, NACE and other relevant standards.
• Participate in project completion activities, including NCR and FPR resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production or related engineering discipline.
• 2–6+ years of experience in the oil & gas or subsea industry.
• Strong understanding of hydrocarbon processing, oil/water separation and hydraulics.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a diverse team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software packages.
• Experience using MathCAD for engineering calculations.
• Knowledge of SAP for engineering data management.
• Solid grasp of GD&T principles and application.
• Familiarity with P&ID creation and interpretation.
• Understanding of API, ASME/ANSI and NACE standards.
