Surf Lagoon Lifeguard

About the role

Atlantic Park Surf is seeking enthusiastic lifeguards to ensure the safety and enjoyment of guests at our surf lagoon. You will be the first point of contact for visitors, providing a welcoming presence while maintaining vigilant oversight of the water environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain constant visual surveillance of guests in and around the surf lagoon.
• Enforce safety rules and proactively prevent accidents.
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, including rescues and first‑aid situations.
• Operate the wave‑generation system from the control tower while monitoring session activity.
• Conduct daily safety inspections and help keep the lagoon area clean and orderly.
• Provide friendly guest service, answering questions and addressing concerns.
• Participate in regular training drills to keep rescue skills sharp.

Required profile

• Strong swimming ability and physical fitness.
• Calm, confident demeanor under pressure.
• Clear communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Commitment to high safety standards and excellent guest service.

Required skills

• Lifeguard certification (Red Cross, Ellis, or equivalent) preferred.
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification preferred.
• Understanding of surf culture is advantageous but not mandatory.
