Support Operations – HMC Machine Operator

About the role

We are looking for a Support Operations professional to operate, set up and maintain Horizontal Machining Centre (HMC) machines that produce dies, components and precision parts. The role ensures production targets are met while maintaining the highest safety standards in the workshop.

Key responsibilities

• Operate HMC machines according to engineering drawings and quality specifications.
• Set up and adjust machines for new jobs and perform routine maintenance.
• Monitor production output and ensure targets are achieved.
• Identify near‑miss incidents and abnormal conditions, initiate corrective actions within 7 days.
• Conduct safety training for new employees and ensure 100 % compliance.
• Investigate incidents or near‑misses within 48 hours and document findings.
• Review identified risks on a monthly basis and implement preventive measures.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to zero‑fatality safety.
• Ability to read technical drawings and follow standard operating procedures.
• Proactive attitude towards risk identification and corrective actions.
