Supply Chain Lead Worker

About the role

Vestas is seeking a Supply Chain Lead Worker to optimise material flow and logistics for wind turbine blade production at its Chennai facility. You will work closely with factory logistics, production, and digital teams to ensure efficient inbound receiving, storage, and delivery to the production line.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and optimise end‑to‑end internal material flow processes from inbound receiving to line delivery.
• Identify and implement physical layout changes to improve warehouse utilisation and picking efficiency.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis on material flow disruptions and implement preventive solutions.
• Act as master user and subject‑matter expert for SAP HERO, SAP WM and Apriso eKanban Material Replenish modules.
• Provide first‑line support for warehouse‑related system issues and assist with testing and rollout of system upgrades.

Required profile

• ITI‑Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• 10–15 years of experience in blade manufacturing or related supply‑chain environments.
• Proven ability to coordinate assets and balance supply and demand to ensure timely delivery.
