Supervisor, Aircover

About the role

Airbnb’s AirCover team protects hosts, guests and the travel experience through insurance and claims support. As a Supervisor, you will lead a group of specialists, ensuring high‑quality service, operational efficiency and a safe environment for the community.

Key responsibilities

• Drive team performance against KPIs such as productivity, quality and operational health while managing volume and SLA targets.
• Handle escalated and complex investigations, urgent claims, property‑damage cases and personal‑safety incidents.
• Schedule shifts, approve time‑off, conduct one‑on‑ones and team meetings, and collaborate with other leads.
• Coach, train and develop specialists, fostering a supportive and inclusive team culture.
• Analyze data and user insights to recommend improvements to policies, products and processes.
• Serve as point of contact for urgent or sensitive cases, maintaining subject‑matter expertise.

Required profile

• 7+ years of overall experience with 2‑3 years in a leadership role managing teams and meeting performance goals.
• Experience in insurance or liability claims, preferably with third‑party administrators or adjusters.
• Strong analytical and critical‑thinking abilities; able to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality while conducting investigations.
• Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast‑changing environments.
