Substation Design Manager (EHV, up to 400kV)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Substation Design Manager to lead EHV (up to 400 kV) substation and switchyard engineering projects in Gurugram. The role involves preparing detailed engineering deliverables, ensuring compliance with standards, and supporting project execution from design through delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review engineering deliverables and drawings with meticulous attention to detail.
• Design EHV Substation (AIS/GIS) and Switchyard Primary Engineering up to 400 kV, including SLD preparation and layout development.
• Estimate engineering man‑hours, material quantities and key project deliverables accurately.
• Develop earthing and lightning protection system layouts and perform associated calculations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards, specifications and quality requirements throughout all project phases.
• Support project execution, planning and provide technical issue resolution as required.

Required profile

• BTech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in 400 kV substation design, engineering and project execution.
• Proven expertise in EHV Substation (AIS/GIS) and Switchyard Primary Engineering design.
• Strong knowledge of IEC, IEEE and national electrical standards.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills within multidisciplinary teams.
