Strategic Material Sourcing Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Material Sourcing professional to lead strategic procurement of critical semiconductor materials for our new AI‑enabled foundry. The role will be based in Dholera/Ahmadabad and will work closely with engineering, quality and manufacturing teams to ensure reliable supply.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for high‑performance materials.
• Identify, evaluate and onboard global suppliers; lead RFQs/RFPs, negotiate contracts and finalize agreements.
• Monitor market trends, pricing and technology advances to inform sourcing decisions.
• Establish vendor qualification processes in partnership with quality and engineering.
• Drive supplier performance metrics (cost, quality, delivery, technology roadmap).
• Conduct supplier audits and ensure compliance with semiconductor industry standards.
• Collaborate with process engineers and R&D on material specifications and qualify new or second‑source materials.
• Maintain continuity of supply, develop dual‑sourcing and buffer plans for high‑risk items.
• Analyse supply‑demand dynamics, optimise inventory and align with production schedules.
• Lead cost‑reduction initiatives, perform should‑cost analysis and track cost trends.
• Coordinate cross‑functional activities with engineering, quality, manufacturing and finance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Supply Chain or related field.
• Up to 5 years of experience in supply‑chain roles such as planning, procurement strategy or technical SCM.
• Willingness to relocate to Dholera or Ahmadabad.
• Semiconductor industry exposure is a plus; strong supply‑chain knowledge is essential.
