Stores Officer – Inventory Management

About the role

The Stores Officer will be based on‑site in Chennai and will manage the day‑to‑day operations of the company’s stores and inventory function. This full‑time position ensures that all materials are received, stored, and issued accurately while supporting project and procurement teams.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee receipt, storage, and issue of materials and maintain up‑to‑date stock records.
• Update inventory systems promptly and prepare periodic inventory and stock status reports.
• Handle purchase order documentation and coordinate material requirements with procurement and project teams.
• Support stock audits, reconciliation activities, and monitor stock levels to identify discrepancies.
• Maintain orderly, safe storage practices and ensure compliance with company policies.

Required profile

• Freshers with the right attitude are welcome; prior experience in stores or inventory roles is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy and good organizational abilities.
• Effective communication and coordination skills for cross‑functional teamwork.
• Relevant diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain, engineering or a related field is beneficial.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of ERP or inventory management software.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools.
• Ability to manage and process purchase orders efficiently.
