Stores Executive – Inventory Management for Die Casting

About the role

The Stores Executive will be based at TK Velocity Wheels' Chennai facility, overseeing daily store operations that support high‑pressure die‑casting production. You will ensure raw materials, consumables and finished goods are received, inspected, stored and issued efficiently, maintaining seamless material flow for manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and issue raw materials, consumables and finished goods related to die‑casting activities.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and update stock levels in the ERP or inventory system.
• Organise storage areas, ensure proper labeling and traceability of all materials.
• Coordinate with production, quality, purchase and logistics teams to support uninterrupted manufacturing and timely dispatches.
• Assist in regular stock audits, monitor minimum and reorder levels, and drive continuous improvement of store processes and documentation.
• Uphold safety, housekeeping and compliance standards within the store environment.

Required profile

• Customer‑facing skills with strong communication to liaise with internal teams and external vendors.
• Retail or sales‑related experience that supports efficient material handling and stock rotation.
• Background in Commerce or a related field; diploma or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in stores/inventory management within a manufacturing or automotive environment, preferably in a foundry or die‑casting setting.
• Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy and ability to maintain organised records.
• Understanding of safety protocols for handling industrial materials.
