Store In‑Charge – Materials & Equipment Management

About the role

The Store In‑Charge is responsible for overseeing the receipt, inspection, storage, and dispatch of all materials, tools, and equipment on site. This role ensures that inventory levels are maintained, records are accurate, and assets are kept in optimal condition to support uninterrupted project operations.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and record all incoming and outgoing materials, tools, and equipment.
• Conduct regular stock‑takes and update the Asset Inventory form on schedule.
• Maintain materials, tools, and equipment in good condition and ensure proper labeling with pin cards/tags.
• Monitor stock levels, trigger re‑order when minimum thresholds are reached, and inform the Section Manager/Buyer.
• Track hired equipment, record off‑hire and breakdowns, and maintain daily user records.
• Alert superiors to any abnormal consumption patterns.
• Support preventive maintenance scheduling for plant and equipment.
• Assist in the development and upkeep of company systems and perform other duties as directed.
