Store Associate

About the role

The Store Associate supports the smooth operation of the hotel's retail and food service areas by handling incoming merchandise, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. This full‑time, onsite role is based at the New Delhi Marriott Marquis.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and stage merchandise by department, label for placement, and deliver to the appropriate area.
• Stack received items on pallets or carts and complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies.
• Monitor stock levels and notify supervisors of low inventory in a timely manner.
• Store perishables properly, rotate stock, and inspect deliveries for freshness, cleanliness, and quality.
• Refuse damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items and adhere to food safety policies.
• Organize, clean, and sanitize refrigerators, freezers, floors, equipment, and drains.
• Remove empty pallets, cardboard, and trash, placing them in designated storage areas.
• Report accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions and complete required safety training.
• Maintain professional appearance, protect company assets, and uphold confidentiality.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and co‑workers.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific licenses or certifications required.
