About the role
We are seeking a Statutory Audit Executive to join our audit team in Kolkata. This position is ideal for a recent CA graduate who has completed the mandatory articleship and is eager to start a career in statutory audit.
Key responsibilities
- Perform detailed audit procedures, including vouching, ledger scrutiny, and physical verification of assets.
- Prepare accurate audit working papers and maintain evidence files.
- Ensure client financial records comply with Indian GAAP, Ind AS, IFRS, and Standards on Auditing (SAs).
- Assist senior auditors in reviewing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and drafting audit reports.
- Coordinate with client finance teams to gather data, resolve queries, and build professional relationships.
Required profile
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) – recent pass‑out with completed mandatory articleship.
- Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of Accounting Standards and Company Law.
Required skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
- Experience with enterprise accounting software such as Tally or SAP.
