Stamping Simulation Engineer – Automotive

About the role

We are seeking a Stamping Simulation Engineer to support feasibility studies and process optimisation for automotive skin and inner panels. The role involves using advanced simulation tools and CAD modelling to ensure high‑quality panel production.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct stamping process feasibility and formability studies.
• Perform simulations and tool modelling in CAD environments.
• Develop method plans, optimise blank holder shape, bead geometry and blank size.
• Analyse panel flow, press automation transfer curves and die size calculations.
• Collaborate on product design change proposals to improve process feasibility.
• Maintain knowledge of automotive die types, cams and manufacturing processes from design to mass production.

Required profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Tool Design or Tool & Die Making (CITD/NTTF/IGTR).
• 2–8 years of experience in automotive OEMs, reputable tool rooms or design offices.
• Strong understanding of skin panel quality requirements and manufacturing processes.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Catia V5 (surface modelling).
• Proficiency with UG NX.
• Experience using AutoForm or PAM‑STAMP for formability simulation.
