Staff Software Engineer (Systems & Network Proxy)

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced systems software engineer to help drive and evolve our product. This person would extend and own our on‑endpoint network proxy solution, intercepting and manipulating the network traffic of third‑party software. Our technology is new and rapidly evolving, giving you the chance to be an early contributor with substantial impact on product architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Hook or redirect outbound connections, terminate and re‑establish TLS sessions, and apply content‑aware policies in real time.
• Add low‑level collectors that trace data flows across apps, files, sockets, and pipes, feeding a unified event stream.
• Solve challenging performance‑optimization problems while monitoring hundreds of thousands of events with minimal impact on endpoint applications.
• Design and build highly reliable code that never impacts the end‑user experience.
• Build secure‑by‑design hardened software that withstands real‑world attacks, processes untrusted data, and communicates securely with a backend.

Required profile

• 6+ years of professional experience in systems software, networking, proxy, or security engineering with deep knowledge of network interception.
• Strong track record in network interception and parsing, including work on at least one forward proxy used by security software.
• Experience debugging, profiling, and optimizing low‑level system software performance.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing application architecture.
• Experience with agile development and SCRUM.
• Proven ability to collaborate with distributed cross‑functional teams and communicate effectively in English.
• Availability to frequently communicate with teams in Central European and US Eastern time zones.
