Staff Software Engineer - Frontend

About the role

We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer – Frontend to tackle the toughest frontend challenges while building AI‑driven products at scale. This hands‑on technical leadership role involves real‑time systems, streaming data, performance optimisation, reliability, complex user workflows and large‑scale architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Own the frontend architecture for high‑scale, complex applications.
• Design and implement real‑time interactions, streaming data pipelines, and asynchronous workflows.
• Build reliable UI experiences for AI‑generated responses, long‑running tasks and partial results.
• Develop responsive design systems that handle large data volumes and long‑running operations.
• Collaborate with backend, product and design teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
• Identify and resolve architectural bottlenecks before they become scaling issues.
• Improve performance across loading, rendering, network usage, memory and bundle size.
• Establish observability, logging, error tracking and monitoring for production debugging.
• Lead architecture discussions, mentor engineers and raise the frontend engineering bar.

Required profile

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with strong hands‑on frontend expertise.
• Deep knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, React and Next.js.
• Proven experience designing and scaling large production frontend applications.
• Experience building real‑time or streaming experiences using WebSockets, SSE or similar APIs.
• Strong understanding of web performance, browser fundamentals and state management.
