Staff Nurse – Patient Care & Clinical Support

About the role

The Staff Nurse will deliver high‑quality patient care in a hospital setting, ensuring safe medication administration, effective monitoring, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams. This position supports both routine and emergency care while contributing to continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.
• Perform initial and periodic patient assessments within defined time frames.
• Provide pre‑ and post‑operative care according to hospital protocols.
• Maintain daily inventory of medicines and medical equipment.
• Collaborate with consultants and other departments to prioritize emergency cases.
• Ensure infection‑control policies are followed and promote a safe environment.
• Document patient care accurately and handle confidential information.
• Supervise and instruct IV staff on bedside care, waste management, and routine patient needs.
• Participate in quality‑assurance and continuous‑quality‑improvement activities.

Required profile

• Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery or B.Sc. Nursing.
• Adherence to the hospital’s dress code and ID‑card policy.
• Flexibility to work duty hours as scheduled.
• Strong interpersonal skills to maintain positive relations with colleagues and seniors.
