Staff Nurse – Ophthalmology

About the role

As a Staff Nurse at Eye‑Q Eye Hospitals, you will provide high‑quality patient care in an ophthalmic setting, assessing needs, administering medication, maintaining records and assisting physicians during examinations and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care with focus on ophthalmic procedures and treatments.
• Monitor and record vital signs and patient health data.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• Assist in various eye surgeries and procedures, ensuring a sterile environment.
• Educate patients and families on eye health and post‑operative care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date patient records and documentation.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to safety protocols.
• Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families.

Required profile

• Valid nursing degree and registration with the relevant nursing council.
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in ophthalmology or related fields.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
