Staff Nurse – OPD, Ward, Emergency, Recovery & OT

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care across OPD, ward, emergency, post‑operative recovery and operation theatre areas in Preet Vihar, New Delhi. The role involves direct clinical support, coordination with doctors and laboratory staff, and ensuring a safe, well‑stocked environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform triage in the emergency department and assist doctors during mass‑casualty situations.
• Maintain up‑to‑date communication with patients, families and medical teams regarding test results and treatment plans.
• Collect and handle specimens (blood, sputum, stool, urine) and record laboratory findings.
• Administer prescribed medications, including pain relief and anti‑nausea drugs, and provide oxygen therapy and suction as needed.
• Monitor vital signs, assess patient readiness for transfer from recovery to ward, and report any clinical concerns promptly.
• Ensure adequate stock of medicines, consumables and functional medical equipment; manage crash‑cart inventory and coordinate maintenance with the BME department.
• Document departmental activities, quality indicators and participate in training and quality‑improvement programs.

Required profile

• Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery or B.Sc. Nursing.
• Adherence to the specified dress code and possession of a valid ID card.
• Willingness to work scheduled duty hours and report to the floor in‑charge.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, multi‑disciplinary hospital environment.
