Staff Nurse

About the role

The Staff Nurse provides direct patient care across multiple hospital units, including wards, operating theatres, labour rooms, ICU and dialysis. Working full‑time on rotating shifts, the nurse supports doctors and ensures high‑quality clinical services for assigned patients.

Key responsibilities

• Administer oral, injectable, infusion and transfusion medications as prescribed.
• Assist physicians during medical, surgical and diagnostic procedures.
• Perform nursing assessments, pain evaluations and vital sign monitoring.
• Carry out procedures such as urinary catheterisation, IV access, nebulisation, oxygen therapy, tube feeding, wound dressing, specimen collection and pre/post‑operative care.
• Provide health education to patients and families, and document all care activities accurately.
• Maintain patient hygiene, comfort and nutritional needs.

Required profile

• GNM, BSc Nursing, PBBSC or MSc Nursing qualification.
• 0‑5 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting.
• Ability to work all shifts and handle a variety of patient care situations.

Required skills

• Medication administration (oral, injection, infusion, transfusion).
• IV access and urinary catheterisation.
• Nebulisation and oxygen therapy.
• Specimen collection and wound dressing.
• Pre‑ and post‑operative patient care.
