Staff Nurse – Hospital

About the role

We are seeking a caring and responsible Staff Nurse to join our nursing team at Navodaya Medical College Hospital & Research Centre in Raichur, Karnataka. The role involves delivering high‑quality nursing care, supporting doctors during procedures, and ensuring patient comfort and safety in a fast‑paced hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day nursing care to patients according to hospital standards.
• Monitor patient condition, vital signs, and recovery progress regularly.
• Administer medicines, injections, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed.
• Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, and emergencies.
• Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation.
• Ensure hygiene, cleanliness, and infection‑control practices in assigned wards.
• Explain basic care instructions and treatment processes to patients and families.
• Coordinate with doctors, technicians, and other staff for seamless patient care.
• Handle medical equipment responsibly and report any issues.
• Respond promptly to emergency cases and provide immediate nursing assistance.
• Support patient admission, transfer, and discharge procedures.
• Work rotational shifts and night duties as required.

Required profile

• B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institute/university.
• Valid registration with the Karnataka State Nursing Council or relevant State Nursing Council.
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience as a Staff Nurse.
• Basic knowledge of medications, IV therapy, and infection control.
