Staff Nurse (GNM/B.Sc) – Full-time, Rotating Shifts

About the role

NK Hospital in Gulbarga is seeking full‑time, on‑site Staff Nurses (GNM or B.Sc Nursing) to join its multi‑specialty team. The role involves delivering direct patient care, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, assisting with procedures, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor patients' vital signs and report changes promptly.
• Administer prescribed medications and ensure correct dosage.
• Assist physicians and allied health professionals during procedures.
• Prepare patients and families for treatments and educate them on post‑discharge care.
• Manage patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Maintain infection‑control standards and follow safety protocols.
• Document patient care activities accurately in hospital records.
• Work rotating shifts and respond to emergency situations.

Required profile

• Recognized qualification in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc Nursing) from an accredited institution.
• Valid registration with the appropriate nursing council and eligibility to practice in the region.
• Strong clinical knowledge to work in cardiology, neurology, orthopedics, gastroenterology, nephrology, oncology, and critical care settings.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to work in shifts, handle emergencies, and adapt to a fast‑paced environment.
• Compassionate, ethical, and patient‑focused attitude with a commitment to continuous learning.
