Sr Construction Manager

About the role

Lead a team for the construction of the Reactor Building of a Nuclear Power Plant from planning to handover, overseeing project budgets, construction safety, and general contractor performance. The role includes managing schedules, enforcing quality standards, and coordinating with clients and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee on‑site construction works including excavation, structural concrete, steel erection, and utility installation.
• Perform rigorous quality inspections to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, design standards, and local building codes.
• Conduct value engineering studies to identify cost‑saving design modifications without compromising safety or structural integrity.
• Develop and track master schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project to meet critical milestones.
• Approve monthly contractor invoices, monitor budget variance, and manage project contingency funds.
• Evaluate, negotiate, and approve change orders, documenting impacts on timeline and cost.
• Support procurement by assisting in bidding processes and selecting competent subcontractors for specialized civil works.
• Mediates on‑site disputes between trades, suppliers, and consultants.
• Conduct progress meetings with clients to provide transparent updates on site progress.
• Enforce zero‑harm safety culture, conduct incident investigations, and ensure PPE compliance.
• Identify project risks such as supply‑chain delays or weather issues and develop recovery plans.
