Sports Physiotherapist

About the role

Ziathlon, a multi‑disciplinary sports medicine clinic in Bangalore, is looking for a dedicated Sports Physiotherapist. The role involves preventing, assessing, treating and rehabilitating sports‑related injuries for competitive athletes and fitness enthusiasts.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnose sports‑related injuries.
• Design and deliver personalised rehabilitation programmes.
• Provide on‑field emergency care and immediate injury management during events.
• Develop injury‑prevention strategies and training plans in collaboration with coaches and trainers.
• Monitor athlete progress, adjust treatment plans and maintain accurate clinical records.
• Educate athletes on proper techniques, self‑care and injury‑prevention.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) or BSc in Physiotherapy – mandatory.
• 2‑3 years of clinical physiotherapy experience, including 1‑2 years working with athletes or in sports settings.
• Valid physiotherapy licence and registration with the Karnataka state council.
• Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal conditions and sports injury management.

Required skills

• Manual therapy techniques.
• Therapeutic exercise prescription.
• Use of physiotherapy modalities.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
